About Oral Appliance Therapy
This is an oral device worn during sleep. The device supports your jaw in a forward position to help maintain an open airway. When you visit us, our dentist will collaborate with a sleep apnea doctor, to determine the best treatment option. If it is determined an oral device is the best treatment, the dentist will prepare the design for your custom device using computer-aided design. You will be given a date when to collect your device from our office. During collection, our dentist will fit the device and guide you on how and when to wear it. All of our oral devices are approved by the FDA and proven effective in controlling snoring and sleep apnea.
How It Works
Sleep apnea is a medical condition, not an oral condition. In other words, this condition is supposed to be treated by a doctor and not a dentist.
